Message from Livvy! 2015

The start of 2015 has been really good for me. I have continued to work really hard both on the track and at the gym and I really feel that all the hard work is really making a big difference.

Last week I ran my first 60m since 2013 at the South Eastern Athletic Association Indoors at Lee Valley and I was delighted to reduce my PB by half a second. I felt I ran well but that I have more to give. I have another 60m this Sunday at the London Indoors and I really hope to take a bit more off my time there.

There has also been great excitement in my training group as Jonas and Julie (my coaches) had a gorgeous baby boy, Logan, a few weeks ago which we are all so happy about.

This week I had the pleasure of being asked to the launch of Get Set's Road to Rio app and website. The event was at the Aquatic Centre at the Olympic Park and it was so amazing being back in that environment again.

The aim of the app is to get kids interested in sport in the run up to Rio by taking part in sporting activities which cover the distance of 9,298km which is the distance from London to Rio - carrying on the legacy of London 2012. There were kids there from three different schools and myself and the Olympian gymnast Max Whitlock had great fun playing table tennis, boccia and goal ball with them - they were really good! The kids were really excited by the app and I hope you all check it out too!

I have a busy few weeks ahead of me. As I say I am running a 60m this weekend and then in mid February we have a GB women's 4x100m relay practice. The squad hasn't been together for some time now so it will be good to get some practice in and see the girls again. On 20 February I am off to Dubai to the IPC Grand Prix event where I am running the 100m. It will be great to get outside racing in the track again and the warmth will be a great bonus also.

I will let you know how I get on!
